It’s important to create the safest production environments possible to protect everyone in our industry. Therefore, AVS Audio Visual Services, your event technology provider, offers Covid 19 Compliance Officers (C19CO) in conjunction with our technical services.
THE COVID-19 COMPLIANCE OFFICER
This newly designated position is responsible for establishing and enforcing COVID-19 safety protocols, training staff, and monitoring compliance on sets. This position provides a person who is educated in the transmission of the COVID-19 virus, disinfection, social distancing, CDC, local and state guidelines, and other information related to preventing the spread of infection on a production set. This person is responsible for safety compliance and enforcement of rules.
SHOULD ALL SETS HAVE A COVID-19 COMPLIANCE OFFICER (C19CO)?
Short Answer: Yes.
Like all productions should have a Producer, TD, A1, V1 & LD, the COVID-19 Compliance Officer is another necessary crew member.
THE COVID-19 COMPLIANCE OFFICER IS NOT A MEDIC
This position is a support position to allow productions to open safely, but does not replace the need for sets to have a Medic, or the need for medical professionals to be engaged for emergency services or Covid-19 testing.
